Who doesn’t love mac and cheese? Seriously, it’s creamy, cheesy and just plain delicious. It’s one of America’s most popular foods for good reason. For true lovers of the dish, we have just the event for you.
On Saturday, February 18, Mac and Cheese Mayhem will be held at The Morristown Armory in Morristown, NJ. The mac and cheese festival will feature an array of local chefs and restaurants, each cooking up their version of the comfort classic. Chefs will compete with one another for what the event is calling The Mac Daddy Award—aka best mac and cheese in Jersey.
The event will take place from 11 a.m. to 7 p.m. and is perfect for mac lovers of all ages. Kid-friendly activities such as face painting and a petting zoo will be available, while guests over 21 can enjoy a variety of beer, margaritas and sangria. There will also be music, hatchet throwing and so much more.
During the event, guests can walk around the premises from vendor to vendor sampling each mac and cheese. Once you feel you’ve had a taste for enough, you can cast your vote for whichever you feel is the best in the building. At Mac Mayhem Fest, attendees are the judges, so be ready to vote with your tastebuds!
$7 in advance or $10 at the door covers admission to the event, but each vendor sells food at their own price. Children three and under enter for free.
The Morristown Armory is located at 430 Western Ave, Morristown, NJ and parking is available free of charge. The event is indoors and therefore, will go go on rain or shine. Tickets can be purchased in advance here.
